Getting cold in Finland?
I know it's getting nippy here and there is frost some mornings .. would imagine that it's several degrees colder in Finland. When can you first expect to see snow?

not currently living in Finland, but in my experience, by my birthday end of November there would be first snow (the kind that stays on the ground and doesnt melt in a day) and it would be cold enough to wear hats and mittens outside.

We´ve had frost here too last week, and the temperature has dropped below zero almost every night, but daytime it has been mostly +2 - +5, in southern Finland where I'm at. It's gonna get warmer though, this week there won't be frost even nighttime. :( I suspect there's not gonna be much snow before January here, but I live in the coast and south. It's really an ordeal for me to survive the autumn. It get's really dark, cause the sun comes up around 8 am and goes down 5.30 pm, and it's only getting worse. http://www.fmi.fi/weather/
