Man eats dog to protest royalty
Just when I thought I'd seen everything! LONDON - A British artist has eaten chunks of a Corgi dog, the breed favored by Queen Elizabeth II, live on radio to protest against the royal family's treatment of animals. Mark McGowan, 37, said he ate "about three bites" of the dog meat, cooked with apples, onions and seasoning, to highlight what he called Prince Philip's mistreatment of a fox during a hunt by the Queen's husband in January. Ew. :pengdemens:

 Why on earth was the man dressed in a dinner jacket (tuxedo)? Stories like this one reinforce the idea that there really are 6 billion individuals on the planet, rather than 6 billion uniform drones...

Now, Man eats hotdog in protest doesn't have quite the same ring.

I thought it was a dog eats dog world at times. At least this protest has me seriously questioning royalty. I might turn anti-royal any day now. I wonder what a dog would taste like. And would different breeds of dogs taste different as well? I don't mind turning animals into food as a rule. Just don't slaughter them all, that's so stupid.

I would not want to eat any meat from an animal who had died "of natural causes" (disease, old age or what), sounds unhealthy.

I agree. It seems not only disgusting, but dangerous, too. And icky.

Fr. Gruesome- 05-30-2007

Such criticism coming from a cat - of all species - should be taken with enourmous seriousness. I would feel much more comfortable if I understood what the devil this chap thought he would achieve by eating (anything) on the wireless - not very visual after all is it

Miss Jayme Kat- 05-31-2007

Yeah. If he really wanted to make an impression, he could have trapped the queen's own corgi, videotaped himself killing, dressing, and cooking it, fed it to the queen, and finally show her the videotape after she finished eating it.

I think that killing and eating Her Maj's corgis is one of the few criminal offences which still attracts the death penalty in this country...

DGoeij- 05-31-2007

As a Royalist at heart, I couldn't agree more. Good to see some standards remain.

Miss Narrowly- 06-14-2007

I once bit the Prince of Wales in the ankle. He was stepping on my hair at the time, so I thought it was fair game. Imagine my dismay when a ton of policemen landed on me like a road block. *I bet you wish you got invited to that sort of party*

LazarusMoose- 06-14-2007

I am not a fan of royalty and I think that corgis are ugly dogs. But still, surely a better - and more useful to society - protest would have been eating Prince Harry?

Miss Jayme Kat- 06-14-2007

But then you might OD on something and go into convulsions.

Miss Narrowly- 06-14-2007

I wouldn't bite Harry, I don't find carrot-tops attractive, but I could certainly drool over his brother, drool-drool-drool bite shriek moan drool-drool-drool I say! Yum, gosh, slurp yum-yum-yummy. Oh I'm SUCH a slut... No Wills, you're just inbred...No, it's true, I'm a slut... It's not your fault Wills, you got it from your mother...Mummy! Oh mummy! Slurp moan slap-slappity-slap, golly

Well the dogs got their own back. Over here a pack of dogs just ate a woman. They think she had a heart attack first and then they ate her.
