Rock & Roll in Finland
My elder son, Rob, is a Rock band tour manager and right now he is in Finland! The band he tour manages, We are the Physics if you want to see them, played in Helsinki at Semifinal on Thursday night, and then last night at the Jurassic Rock Festival at Mikkeli. Tonight they play at the Lutakko Liekeissa Festival at Jyvaskyla and tomorrow they fly home. He texted to let us know he was staying in a very swanky hotel in Helsinki, then today to say they were en route to the third gig, it was sunny and warm, and everyone is very friendly. I never had a connection with Finland before but Rob is evidently having a great time, and if anyone is at the festival tonight, look for Rob, We are the Physics Tour Manager and tell him his Dad says hello! And thanks to all the friendly people of Finland for making these Scottish lads welcome! :D

Oh it's a shame Sointu won't be here till Monday - she sings in a rock band and is in Helsinki (well near it anyway).

I used to operate a sound desk and know how to turn them down ;)

I'm afraid I don't get to rock concerts much, I don't even have a tattoo yet. :( But glad he is having a good time.

Oh, they sound GREAT! Goddarn I had my own gig, would've loved to see them. It seems I have a soft spot for Scottish rockmusic. :)

Hi Sointu! The Finnish experience seems to have been very good and the promoter is talking about having them back, so you may get the chance again! :D

I dunno. Them Finns might be too wild and crazy for me...
