Speed Limits
I didn't know the speed limit in Germany is 150 m.p.h.
Who in the fuck does 150?
My truck eoes good to do 80....
Ah you sure that is miles and not kilometers?
A co-worker went to Germany on vacation and has been talking about it this morning...
150 m.p.h =~ 240 k.p.h
No I mean, are you sure the limit is not 150KMs per hour?
I just checked .. it is km ;)
It is 140 KM per hour, not miles per hour. Now, the high-speed train does go 240 kilometers per hour...
Our limit is 120 km/ph. That's about 75 m/ph. :)
Actually....
After consulting google, there is no speed limit on the Autobahn.....
The Isle of Man is the only place in the world that does not have a general speed limit. In Germany, over 50% of the autobahn system remains free from speed limits.
If you drive too fast on the I of M you end up in the middle of the sea.
That is something that would happen to me...
*laughs*
In Germany, over 50% of the autobahn system remains free from speed limits.
As I have discovered.
Repeatedly
I'm all for abolishing the speed limit....
But...who does 150 (mph)??????
Quite a few people, if my visits to Germany are anything to go by.
It's a bit of an odd situation to have people fly by, when you're already going 120 mph (190 kmh) :?
That's what my coworker was saying as well....
Recently, though, I've been keeping my speed well down since fuel is so expensive.
I'd love to hit 150, it would be beautiful!
The autobahn is designed for very high speeds, this is not like American roads :P
I've only hit 120 (I didn't see the speed limit signs so I imagine they were non existent) it was out in the country so only myself was at risk, and it was a safe, large road to do so.
